After securing a 57-47 victory, Jamaica won the international tri-series after beating England in the deciding match, coming out 2-1 winners overall and taking the deserved spoils after a tight game in Kingston, in an international series that is the start of the countdown to the World Cup in Australia this year.

Throughout the topsy-turvy (third) game of nerves, these two great rivals were inseparable, locked together at 37-37 as the third quarter came to a close.

Going into the final quarter, a quick turnover from the hosts put them ahead and they rallied to take the game by 10 points, repeating the fate bestowed on England at theCommonwealth Games in Glasgow last summer, when Jamaica pulled ahead in the dying minutes to win 52-48 and take the bronze medal.

After a gruelling and dramatic three matches in four days, the tiring legs really took their toll and despite a late injection, the Sunshine Girls, ranked fourth in the world,  were able to finish with a flourish to claim victory.

Ranked third in the world, England will re-group and take the positives from their trip to the Caribbean with the focus remaining on the Netball World Cup, in Sydney this summer.
