Bring Back our Girls Protest March

(May 13, 2014)

Dear Concerned friends,

WE SHALL NOT STOP UNTIL ALL THE GIRLS ARE BACK HOME.

On the 14th of April 2014 exactly a month today over 100 boko haram members went and terrorised the Town  of Chibok, in Borno State, North East Nigeria. They went to a Government Girls
Boarding school pretending to be the military who have come to save the girls from boko haram, the girls believed them because they were in military uniform. They took all the girls mobile phones from they. Kidnaped over 300 of them. The leader of boko haram abubakar shekua after many days of silence told the world that they were going to sell and /or marry the girls into slavery. Then on the 12th May 2014 showed video of some girls wearing black and grey hijabs and praying. He demanded the release of boko haram prisoners in exchange for freeing the kidnaped girls.
Children have the right to safety and liberty within their communities and the country at large. Such an attack on the liberty of children is abhorrent, deplorable and unjustifiable. We feel the pain and sympathise and stand by the families affected and continue to pray that they be reunited with their families very soon.

Please join the protest outside Nigeria High Commission, 9 Northumberland Avenue London WC2N 5BX On Thursday 15 May 2014 from 4pm to 6pm.

To continue peacefully  to express our outrage and support for Girl Child Education in AFRICA, Northern Nigeria in particular  and call for:

1)      FREE OUR GIRLS.
2)      NO MILITARY SOLUTION
3)      NEGOTIATE.
4)      MAJORITY OF NEGOTIATORS TO BE WOMEN
5)      CALL ON THE USA AND HER INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO NAME, SHAME AND BRING TO AN END SUPPLY OF ALL WEAPONS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO
BOKO HARAM FROM ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD.
6)      BRING TO JUSTICE ALL CRIMINALS WHO TERORISE, BURN DOWN SCHOOLS, KIDNAPP AND THREATEN TO SELL YOUNG GIRLS INTO MARRIAGE AND SLAVERY.

Thank you
