Michael Clarke Duncan was born and raised in Chicago and was working as a ditch digger and bodyguard in Hollywood before getting his break in 1998′s Armageddon. His co-star Bruce Willis recommended him for the role of an inmate with magical powers named John Coffey in 1999′s The Green Mile.

In a 2011 interview with TheUrbanDaily Duncan spoke on how in love he was with Omarosa and that a vegetarian diet had helped the 6′ 5″ actor slim down from 315 pounds to 280.

“Oh man I have never been so much in love than I am now with this woman,” he said. “This woman is fantastic and she can cook like a chef. And I’m a vegetarian so it’s hard to please my stomach, but she can go down there and whip it up. It’s so wonderful being with someone that you can see yourself spending the rest of your life with.”

Manigault-Stallworth, had previously tried to save his life by performing CPR.[18] Duncan's publicist, Joy Fehily, issued a statement on August 6 that read he was moved from the intensive care unit but remained hospitalized following his heart attack.[19]

On September 3, Fehily quoted Manigault as saying that Duncan had died in the morning in Los Angeles. He added that celebrations of Duncan's life would be announced at a later date.[1][20] The statement also, for the first time, described Manigault as Duncan's fiancée.[21]

BH fans may remember Michael from Scorpion King (2002), Armageddon (1998) and Green Mile (1999). He also appeared in the superhero flicks Green Lantern (2011) as the voice of Kilowog and Daredevil (2003) as the well received Kingpin. We also had him pegged as the perfect fit to play the White Gorilla in the always rumored Black Panther Movie (see all our castings here). Our prayers go out to his family, loved ones and fans in this time of grief. You will be missed Michael R.I.P.
