FUNDING with deadlines:

Comic Relief:  #iwill Youth Social Action Fund
Co-produced with young people, championing peer to peer engagement and the importance of trust building, funding projects to seek out young people, and encourage those from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in and lead youth social action.
Deadline: 12 May 2071, Midday.

Heritage Lottery Fund
Changes to the 'Grants for Places of Worship programme'. This funding will now be provided through the existing Our Heritage (grants of up to £100,000) and Heritage Grants (up to £5 million) programmes.
Deadlines: 15 May/14 August 2017. 

Comic Relief:  Youth & HIV 
Funding for UK or non-UK organisations working in partnership with local organisations in Kenya, South Africa, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
Deadline: 19 May 2017, Midday.

Comic Relief: HIV Think Digital 
Funding: proposals which aim to address the following priorities are particularly welcome:
Improve the quality of life for people living with HIV, particularly those who are 50 years and older; Increase access to services which enable prompt diagnosis of HIV and contribute to HIV prevention; address misinformation and the stigma surrounding HIV.
Deadline: 19 May 2017  Midday  

Road Safety Trust
Supporting projects and research that will make roads safer and reduce the number of people killed or injured.
Deadline: 26 May 2017. 

Pink Ribbon Foundation 
Grants up to £5,000 for revenue, capital or project costs.  Supporting initiatives promoting a positive view of living with breast cancer
Deadline: 26 May 2017.

Improving Life for Londoners
In collaboration with Crowdfunder and The Social Innovation Partnership, Trust for London and City Bridge Trust have launched a new £100,000 fund available to organisations using crowdfunding to raise funds and deliver projects which will address inequality and lift people out of poverty in the capital. It is keen to support charitable work that: Provides practical solutions to support people on low incomes; Addresses local problems in creative ways; Is led by communities that will benefit from the work.
Eligibility: Projects to start within 3 months of reaching their fundraising target, and last a max of 1 year, should raise funding from a minimum of 5 individuals and use the ‘All or nothing’ funding option in Crowdfunder.
Value: The fund will provide up to 50% of the target (to a maximum of £10,000), with projects expected to raise at least the first 25% from crowdfunding.
Process: Follow the Crowdfunder link below. You’ll need to register if you haven’t already. Follow their instructions on how to produce your crowdfunding project page.
Deadline: 1pm, 30 May 2017

My Locality Grants
Neighbourhood forums are amongst those groups eligible to apply and they are particularly keen to help ambitious groups from all types of neighbourhoods who want to really influence how their place grows and changes going into the future  You can now also apply for funding to modify your plan. Eligible activities include: website; project plan; local survey, etc.
Deadline: 31 January 2018 

New!  The7stars Foundation
The above organisation, in partnership with famiiy law firm Coram Chambers,  is offering small grants to challenged under 16-year-olds who are facing difficulties in achieving their potential. The main areas prioritised for funding are: homelessness, addiction, abuse, and child carers.
No deadlines.



Bursaries for Filmmakers
Are you a Filmmaker with a major TV project or feature film to develop? Would you like professional guidance in completing your project, and learn about the packaging and marketing elements? The Screen Arts Institute and BFI have two bursaries for Filmmakers to enrol on their Professional Story Development & Marketing Scheme (usually £11,000).
Deadline: First come first served basis


Grocers’ Charity
Provides grants of up to £3,500 to registered charities for projects that support children and young people as the main beneficiary, in areas of high deprivation and also to increase social mobility e.g. training courses, better facilities, parenting support. 

Croydon Council's Micro Grant
A reminder that the above fund is open all year round.  Apply for up to £1,000.



Business Charity Awards

Entries are accepted from any corporate company based in the UK that is working in partnership with registered charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises and campaigning groups.
Deadline: 9 February 2017.
